The Griffiths Head in Reid State Park is an extremely photogenic location especially during sun rises and sun sets. On the eastern side of the Griffiths Head are the rocky islands while on the western end is the mile long beach lined with pines and the Outer Head island.
During rising tides you would have waves between 5′ to 8′ high on an average breaking on the beach. On stormy and windy days the waves rise over 10′, providing great opportunities for seascapes.
The Reid State Park has gorgeous beaches and portions of very rocky Maine coast lines. This is one of the best locations for coastal Maine photography.
